Description and Scope
StandICT.eu is a 24-month EC funded project whose most prominent goal is to tackle the need for a more harmonised ICT Standardisation landscape by achieving the following objectives:
- Increase the European presence in the international ICT Standardisation landscape
- Provide financial support to European ICT Specialists to join Standard Developing Organisations and technical bodies worldwide
- Ensure positive impact on Research & Business from a more streamlined ICT Standards scene
StandICT.eu managed to attain significant accomplishments throughout its lifespan supporting Experts coming from the most important ICT fields of the Digital Single Market as well as covering arising technology as defined in the ICT Rolling Plan for Standardisation.

In our Webinar, we wish to bring into spotlight the concrete impact of StandICT.eu on ICT Standardisation scenario by giving voice to the successful applicants coming from different background.
The Webinar will also be the chance to get a closer understanding of the Standards Watch, the new mapping tool of the principal activities in ICT Standardisation with the possibility for the ICT community to contribute through the WikiWatch feature.

Rusne Juozapaitiene is a certified data protection officer and privacy consultant. She is an active member and expert at the Lithuanian Standard Board and has experience in standardisation activities: she is a Chairwoman of the ISO TC 260 in Lithuania, member of the Chairman's advisory group, also a member of the ISO TC 262 and ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 committees. As the Lithuanian expert and representative, she participates in the CEN/CLC/JTC 13 and is a member of the WG 5. As ANEC representative at the ETSI TC Cyber, she represents consumers in digital standardisation activities, ensuring the safety, accessibility, interoperability and privacy of ICT products & services. Patrick Bezombes is Ingenieur general de l'armement (Brigadier general). In his last position, he has personally written the French doctrine on the Use of Artificial Intelligence and automated systems published in July 2018 and has been key in the setting of an Ethic committee for the French Armed Forces. Patrick Bezombes is now working as consultant in charge of the French standardisation coordination for AI. In parallel, Patrick Bezombes is chair of the French standardization Committee on AI and Big Data, co-convenor of the CEN-CENELEC European focus group on AI standardization and French head of delegation at the ISO-IEC/SC 42 for AI. Francesco Osimanti is a Marketing Specialist & Digital Copywriter. He is in charge for the development of Communication and Dissemination Strategies for a wide array of clients with special focus on content creation and on-site SEO. He is currently actively involved in Trust-IT on European funded projects on communication and dissemination focused within the areas of cybersecurity and privacy and ICT Standards. Francesco, since late 2017 is also a key actor in supporting European funded projects in the Common Disseimation Booster and serves project cluster groups in making them more aware in their dissemination activities. Dr. Oliver Holland is an expert on 5G and future mobile communication technologies, spectrum sharing and spectrum in general, among other topics. He is Chair or Vice-Chair of several IEEE standards groups covering topics such as 5G applications, tactile/haptic communications, and spectrum sharing and optimisation, among others. He is also working within IEEE 802, which standardises Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and other technologies. He is Chair of two IEEE standards committees which create and oversee some major IEEE standards groups on topics including mobile communications and dynamic spectrum access. Maria Ines Robles is interested in technologies related to Internet of Things (IoT), mainly its architecture, routing and management. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. Her research is focused on the efficient group management for Internet of Things (IoT) networks. At the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), she is co-chair of the IETF Routing Over Low power and Lossy networks (roll) Working Group since 2014, additionally she integrates the IETF IoT directorate, the IETF routing directorate and the IETF gen-art review team. Martin Uhlherr has been working in ICT standardization at DIN e.V. since 2007. He is project coordinator in the department for ICT standardization at DIN and works also in the DIN steering committee for IT-security. He is secretary of CEN/CENELEC/JTC 13 “Cybersecurity and Data protection” and CEN/TC 445 “Digital information Interchange in the Insurance Industry”. In addition, Mr Uhlherr is coordinating standardization activities for horizontal ICT topics at the ICT department and worked in several research projects in this field.
